Gastro Event "Squid day"

On November 7th, we organized our fourth Gastro Event, during which the participants could enjoy squid; the main ingredient of the day.
The event took place in the Port of San Antonio where “Ports de les Illes Balears” gave us a space to organize our day.

This one began with a talk by Nicolás Vallespir, from the San Antonio Fishermen's Association, during which he revealed certain techniques to capture this cephalopod.
Next, the attendees were able to observe how two of the island's great chefs prepare the squid, provided by Peix Nostrum, before enjoying their tasty preparations.
Óscar Molina, prestigious chef at the fabulous restaurant “La Gaia” at the Ibiza Gran Hotel, amazed the audience with a delicious fideuá with squid.

José Miguel Bonet, renowned chef of the well-known family restaurant Es Ventall, surprised with a tasty sandwich of brioche bread with squid ink and a squid sauté with sobrasada.
