Sant Miquel de Balansat comes alive on November 30 to share a day dedicated to two of the favourite raw materials of any Ibizan: octopus and red Ibiza potatoes.

Being two of the bases of the popular traditional dish “frita de polp”, in the small rural town you can try different proposals of this recipe, appreciated by everyone who tries it.

In addition to good food, at the third edition of this gastronomic fair in Ibiza, attendees were able to enjoy live music and a great atmosphere.

What awaits us this year?

Fira de sa matança

Last but not least, the Fira de sa matança is dedicated to an essential part of our history and culture.

In the old days, the “matances” were celebrated in the country houses, family gatherings in which all the meat and bones of the pig were used to make sausages and various traditional recipes.

This is how this gastronomic fair of Sant Llorenç de Balàfia was born, in which participants will offer tastings of sobrasada, butifarra and some other surprises in a popular atmosphere.
